Apple Watch Cellular Connectivity with Metro

I have metro PCS. If I bought a series 9 watch could I use the cellular connectivity because T-Mobile is supported by Apple and owns metro? Also what is the difference in the comparison page where the series 9 says Available cellular connectivity and the ultra 2 says Cellular connectivity.

Metro PCS apparently does not have a contract with T-Mobile that allows Metro PCS to support the Apple Watch.

It is possible for a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) to support the Apple Watch, such as Xfinity and Spectrum cable companies, however the MVNO needs to negotiate a contract with the major carrier that they use for cellular communications.

Many MVNO’s do not want to do this, as it raises their costs, which will raise their prices, which will affect the number of customers they attract.
