Next to where it says devices, all I get is a circle

Update: I brought the phone in to the Apple store and they were not able to find anything wrong with it. To be clear, I had no issues connecting to some bluetooth devices (three apple products and two others). But I had three devices the phone would not "see" when they were in pairing mode.
I brought one of those devices with me to the store and the tech could not connect with it either on his phone. Turns out than when I upgraded to the iPhone 15 and iOS 17.5.1, I also needed to upgrade the firmware on some of the devices I was trying to pair.
For one of those devices, a Sena bike helmet with a bluetooth intercom set up, this was a complicated procedure, but after installing new firmware the devices were all recognized by the phone and were successfully connected.
Same issue. I can only add new devices I've never connected to before.
Tried hard restart, refreshing network settings etc. Nothing helps.
Installed iOS 17.4 today, same result. Only thing left is to return the phone, unless anyone here has a brilliant idea?
May 2024. Just got a brand new iPhone 15 Pro. This phone will not automatically connect to my Bluetooth devices as my previous 13 Pro did. I go into pairing mode. I select the device (Bose Bluetooth speaker). It shows connected to the device, but I can't hear anything. I unpair and repair again, but still the same issue. Only way to get it working is to completely turn off the phone and Bose speaker, restart both, and then pair again. This is very frustrating. As mentioned above, with my previous 13 Pro, all I had to do was turn on my Bose speaker and it quickly and automatically connected to my phone. This is rather frustrating. Any ideas will be welcomed. Thanks!
I’m having the same issue. My new iPhone 15 pro max came yesterday and it won’t detect any Bluetooth devices. It shows Bluetooth as on but none of my devices will appear.
Same for me. Connected my car and the a few days back it doesn't show any other bluetooth devices. Did a device restart, etc... still nothing showing. I think there is a bug in the machine.

Hey there, is Apple looking into this because I googled what to do about this issue when I came across this group. They are clearly a lot of us having this issue, I also have a new 15 pro max and I’ve tried multiple times to get it to pair with my devices and it’s not.
i received my iphone 15 pro max on monday and i ve been having the same problem with the bluetooth and i just tried what you said and it is working now, i finally can listen music in my headphones! So thank you
New iPhone 15 Pro Max paired with my car but it's not pairing with any of my other devices. I have tried everything that's been suggested. I also can't print to any of the printers in our business office. I have tried everything.
I have owned many iPhones and have never had this problem. This is not my first rodeo.
Same thing for me. I’ve tried everything. It’s so frustrating. I don’t know if anyone has gone to the Genius Bar about this but I’ve had my phone now for two months and i can’t hook up to any Bluetooth devices.
I received my iPhone 15 max pro in December and unable to connect any Bluetooth devices. Spent almost an hour with an Apple tech and still couldn’t get issue resolved even after 17.3.1 update. Have an appointment now at Apple Store which is very inconvenient!!
My Prius has suddenly stopped recognizing my phone's bluetooth - it doesn't recognize the phone's name, which I've never changed. Set next to the dashboard, my iphone still won't make contact. It worked fine until 3 days ago. Set next to my Mac, the mac bluetooth is on but won't recognize the phone. It does still connect to the watch but everything else is not connected.. I'm stumped.
As of two days ago, I am able to use my ear buds. I have no idea, why it is working now. Simple continued to do the recommended remedies and it worked. Now to see if I can connect with the Honda. Good luck everyone.
iPhone 15 pro max and Bluetooth doesn’t connect to a lot of devices. It is not recognizing half the time and now will not find or pair with my ski helmet headphones!
Tried Turing off and on Bluetooth and holding headphone button down and nothing.
I'm so over this problem ! Help
Just got my 15 pro and am having similar issues. Some devices will connect and others won't. I'm pretty savvy w this stuff yet can't figure out what is going on. My headphones are connected but my JBL speakers won't connect. Bluetooth just keeps spinning looking for other devices - yet no options for connecting come up even when the device is in pair mode.
Apple techs - please fix this bug!
Had my 15 Pro Max for a week. Out of the box it wouldn’t transfer from my old 13PM when next to each other so had to set up from cloud back up. Watch wouldn’t connect or work properly until I carried out a hard reset on the watch and soft on the phone. Works with my EarPods pro fine. However I cannot get it to stay connected to my car and when it does connect can’t get any audio. Been onto support 3 times and it seems I’m the only 1 with this issue……. According to them. There is clearly a huge issue with the 15PM BT that Apple is either ignoring or choosing to do nothing about. I know the 15 pro and pro max use a newer version of BT but Bluetooth is backward compatible. Any suggestions from those that have posted that they sorted it and anyone know when Apple is going fess up to an issue? Been Apple for years very disappointed.
