Update: I brought the phone in to the Apple store and they were not able to find anything wrong with it. To be clear, I had no issues connecting to some bluetooth devices (three apple products and two others). But I had three devices the phone would not "see" when they were in pairing mode.

I brought one of those devices with me to the store and the tech could not connect with it either on his phone. Turns out than when I upgraded to the iPhone 15 and iOS 17.5.1, I also needed to upgrade the firmware on some of the devices I was trying to pair.

For one of those devices, a Sena bike helmet with a bluetooth intercom set up, this was a complicated procedure, but after installing new firmware the devices were all recognized by the phone and were successfully connected.

I’m so frustrated. I’ve restarted the phone, done the 17.4 update, turned blue tooth on and off, along with changing the settings in my car and it still won’t connect. I didn’t even need the upgrade to the 15 Pro Max and now I’m regretting it. Listening to music in my car is a must and this phone is a serious let down. Has anyone found a solution? I keep reading “that worked” but I haven’t seen any solutions other than what Apple posted, and everyone on here has also tried those without success.

All of us are wasting our time and getting frustrated because one of the most common iphone bluetooth use cases wasn't tested - setting up a new iphone.

Certainly, it reflects very poorly on the much vaunted quality aspect of iphones.

Apple can say the user experience is important to them but, if that were true, would they have missed testing such an obvious and common use case?

C'mon, Apple, put your money where your mouth is and get this issue resolved so your customers aren't wasting their time dealing with your mistake.

Seems like the advice was simply normal procedure for pairing. I don't think the advice applies to the many people for whom normal procedure is not working.

For me, I got all my apple devices (watch, airbuds) and a couple other things to pair, but many of my bluetooth devices that paired easily with my old phone don't pair now. They simply don't show up in the list of OTHER DEVICES when I put them in pairing mode. Can't "forget" the device since it's not showing up on the list of findable devices. All the restarting and resetting makes no difference.

Don't know if it is a iPhone 15 issue as much as a iOS 17.5.1 issue. I contacted Apple support and they walked me through a whole lot of steps that failed to address it, too, so they gave me an Apple Store appointment as the next step. We'll see.

I am having some of the same bluetooth issues with my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. It will not connect to my iPad, will not connect to my Nutale tiles, will not connect with my earbuds. None of the instructions given on here apply, have tried many times to shut down, restart, bluetooth off - then on, etc. also constantly asking me to allow Siri, which I DON'T USE. But it has automatically connected to my regular Tiles and carplay.....

Anyone out there have the answers to fix this issue?

I’m’ve tried this and every other suggestion, but still nothing works. I’m desperate to get it working, not just for me, but because I’m not able to get done for my 82 year old parents either. The phone has been out long enough that there should be a fix for it by now. Completely ridiculous! I didn’t need a new phone, but upgraded because there wasn’t a cost to do so at the time. I’m kicking myself for not just keeping my old one.
