Apple News deficiencies

I love Apple News, but there are significant problems, possibly related to Apple's agreements with media sources, but maybe not:

The most significant is the lack of a decent search function. For an article to which one doesn't have access except through Apple News, there is no clear way to direct a link to Apple News, so one must find that article within Apple News by manually searching. A competent search function would allow one to search for the article within the known media source, by title or topic, rather than globally. Globally is not so bad, but is implemented poorly in AN. A comparison with Google News search function is instructive.

I personally would prefer not to have a "Favorites" source list cluttering up the left column. I can manage my own favourites within the list of sources I'm following, simply by dragging them to the top.

The list of Apple News "red" topics at the top is similarly cluttered. There should be a way to collapse it to "Today" and "Apple News +".

Please add your own nits to this if you have some...
