Delete item in calendar
Tried the answers on Google, the edit or delete option never showed up

That's a sign that the event is in a subscribed calendar. You cannot delete these events as they are hosted somewhere else.
Tap on Calendars at the bottom of the screen. You can either hide the calendar and for some calendars you can also unsubscribe from them.
