Google Docs slow typing issue

I’ve looked around everywhere, here, and on Google’s own websites, and no one has found a suitable solution to why even in Google Docs itself, it becomes impossible to type in a document, particularly when in “suggest” mode. I’ve typed up new documents, no problem, but opening one again after getting comments and putting it in Suggest mode, turns it into an impossible to use snail-paced anguish machine. You can’t even type more than one word at a time, it won’t register the keystrokes after one or two.

OKAY. Some suggested disabling Grammerly. I don’t use it. Other suggested clearing cache a gazillion times. Others are like “is this on Chrome?” No. It’s like this everywhere. This is what I discovered fixes the problem, at least on my iPad and in the Google Docs app:

Make your document available offline. Then, go offline. Turn off wifi. Go back into your document (you’ll find it in the “OFFLINE” folder now, don’t panic if it’s not where you last saw it.)

Now, it will work, and you can type as usual, with no lag.
