iPhone text messaging that contains pictures

How to verify (if a picture that was sent via text from another iPhone user) if it is a picture just taken and sent or if it is a screen shot from another location (i.e. another picture sent via text or a website)?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16

Specs of a Text-Send Screenshot:

A. Seeing Specs of a Texted Screenshot:

You'd have to look at the name of this file. To do that, you'd have to save it to your device, and then open it in the Photos app. As long as the person did not rename it, then you should see the date and time the screenshot was taken. As for the device, there is no way to tell (if with good reason --privacy).

B. Print theses Threads:

Export the thread, and see if you can see the name of this file. For safe keeping, tf you wanted to, you could print your threads as PDF dements. Use my User Tip: How to Save or Print a Complete iPhone Messages Thread - User Tip
