Turn Passcode off is greyed out on both watch and iPhone.
I do not want a passcode on my watch, I do not need to use it to pay either. How can I stop it from asking a passcode all-day ? At all ?

iphone settings, screen time, turn off Content & Privacy restrictions, or in there change Passcode Changes to Allow
Did check settings for ScreenTime? You can restrict changing codes for your devices.

That way you will only have to put in the passcode, if you took your watch off your wrist and want to use it again.
Make sure, that "Wake on wrist raise" is enabled in the settings for Display & Brightness.

You don't have to have unlock the iPhone to get the Apple Watch unlocked automatically.
What could the restrictions be ? If there were any, would there not be some kind of messages saying what they are next to the passcode settings ?
Yes my watch and phone are paired up since a year. Since the latest update, my watch asked me to set up a passcode after the update and since then I’m not able to get rid of it :(
I want to remove the passcode completely.
Having to use my iPhone to unlock my watch is not more practical than just putting the passcode on the watch.

Thanks. It was already turned off and allowed. Even when turned green and passcode allowed… I still have the option to remove passcode on phone and watch greyed out
