how can i disable digital zoom, and only have regular camera zoom

I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max with the 0.5, 1 and 2.5x cameras. My regular 1x camera has been shattered (just the lens not the actual camera) and I currently am not interested in replacing it… anyways… sometimes I press 2.5x as I want to use that mode but instead of changing cameras it just zooms into the regular 1x camera (which I have coverd with regular tape and black tape to protect the camera to make the iPhone think that it’s being coverd and suggest it to switch cameras) but it still says the same, in video it does this in HD mode but can easily solve this using 4k, but is there a workaround or a setting I can change to only use the 2.5x and not zooming into the 1x camera (and being able to use the 0.5 obviously)
