Emails show current date when moved into another folder

Moving emails from my inbox to a folder within Macmail is showing the date the mail was moved, not the original date received. I can't find emails based on date received as sorting just gives the oldest or newest date.

Hi SDhatter2,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand your email dates are changing when you move them into folders. Using the email provider's website or app, go to your email account and check whether this behavior continues when you move folders.

If this behavior continues there, it would be best to contact your email provider. If this only happens in Mac Mail app, enter safe mode where login items are limited to run while running a health check on your disk. Once in safe mode, test whether this behavior continues.

Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Regards.
