How do I get rid of the pullout sidebar on my iPad? I’ve gone into settings and looked for “multitasking” but I don’t have that title Whenever I try to read an article embedded in another story it pops out in the sidebar

You need to explore multitasking. Perhaps you have a slide-over App window enabled...
Key to accessing and controlling multi-tasking is the small “three-dot” button that is found at the top-centre edge of each App Window. Tap the multitasking button at the top of the slide-over window to expose a menu - from which you can change the window view.
