Sonoma Photos App, copy and paste white balance not working

Since upgrading to Sonoma, when you copy and paste adjustments in photos to other similar pictures, it now automatically changes your white balance adjustment setting (if its specifically color picked white in Neutral Gray or Skin Tone) to Temperature/Tint. Meaning, it pastes the adjusted white balance yet switches the mode to Temp/Tint, so then you have to go into each image manually and change the setting back to Neutral Gray, instead of it pasting the Neutral Gray adjustment correctly.

It's frustrating when you have 4-5 similar photos that all share the same white balance and you want to paste those adjustments across them all. Definitely a Sonoma bug, as I've adjusted thousands of photos and it's never acted this way before.

I don't need to do all that. I figure out the issue. It's whenever you shoot portrait mode, Photos copies and pastes whatever white balance you set as Temperature/Tint instead of the white balance you set. It doesn't happen when not in Portrait mode. Problem is, the phone now shoots portrait mode whether you ask it to or not, so it's clearly a fault of the Photos app and should be fixed.

We'll be happy to help! Start the Mac in safe mode for testing purposes. Safe mode can help tell us if the issue is possible login items. Be aware that internet access is limited in safe mode, but sometimes just starting in this mode and then restarting normally can resolve some issues: How to use safe mode on your Mac.

Because of the nature of this, it could be an issue with settings or software interfering on the Mac. We'd recommend setting up a new user account on the Mac for testing purposes, as this can help isolate if this is the cause of the issue. The steps to do this are under "add account" here: Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support. If it doesn't happen in the test user account, it will let us know that issue could be caused by a third-party program or certain settings on the main user account.

Actually, it's still doing it on every Mac I have, regardless of Portrait mode or not. Hope it's fixed soon, because it does not copy and paste settings accurately.
