Apple ID-associated email didn't update within Find My (Ventura 13.6 Apple M1 Max 16-inch 2021 MacBook Pro)

I have an Apple M1 Max 16-inch 2021 MacBook Pro running Ventura. I had to change the email address associated with my Apple ID after I got the computer up and running. But now, I want to erase all content, and Find My still thinks I'm using the original email address associated with my Apple ID, which I no longer have access to, and so I can't sign out of Find My. I tried some command line options (nvram -d ...) but those didn't work.

Hi Green-Mac,

It sounds like you changed the email associated with your Apple ID and the old one is still showing for Find My.

If you sign into your Apple ID at the iCloud Website, are you able to remove your Mac from there? You can find steps for doing so here: How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support

Take care.
