This is a user-to-user technical support forum. No matter how much you yell, no one here can make any changes in iOS. Apple doesn't read here for feedback or suggestion. However, you can let them know your thoughts here:

Meanwhile, it does seem that people have made suggestion on how to get ywhat you want here in this thread. Consider reading it from the beginning.

Yes the Memoji is the dumbest thing ever. I love using emojis for contacts. So much easier to find the text thread I want without searching.

This doesn’t work for me either. The emojis are not there. I still see them on the contacts I added prior to the update. This is so annoying!! Why can’t they just leave things alone.

It works but u still have to use a picture and even if not I don’t like it how it makes the name it makes it big and strange

Cause it’s funny. I tryed to add one just now to a contact name. It’s corny that u can’t do it. U can do everything else why not that????
