Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
4. Proceed from there as necessary

Hearing Notifications:

Make it a quick ding sound, rather than a few seconds. If it was sent at the exact same time, expect the notifications to overlap. Sometimes, it just doest make a ding, and there's nothing to do about it.

Troubleshooting Notifications:

If Text Notifications are not occurring (as expected), then refer to the following...

• Doublecheck your settings: Use Notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

• Check what is Allowed: Notifications: Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

“I went to the notifications and checked what apps I want to be notified from, I made sure the DND is off, I’ve made sure the ring/silent switch is on. I’ve restarted my iPhone several times, all apps are up to date along with my iPhone to the 17.0.3. What next??”

Hello ~ It’s a known issue. Reporting as *The Littles* suggests is the best course of action. Hopefully this will be addressed soon.
