Solution to THIS problem found (there are probably other bugs that I do not know about)! The bug in ios 17 appears to be related to the Optimized Battery Charging. If you disable that feature the phone now charges.
After updating to IOS 17.3.1, my issue was resolved. If you are facing the same problem with your iPhone 11, kindly update your device to 17.3.1.
iOS 17 will not change those functions, but it's possible you may have a weak battery.
Check your Battery Health as described here:

If it is below 80%, you may wish to have your battery replaced:

Hey! I just had the same issue, soon as I turned off battery optimization it started to charge. Guess bug with that feature.
I just got a brand new iPhone 11 for christmas and I'm using an 18W charger. My battery health is at 100% so I was confused as to why it wasn't charging. But then I turned off 'Optimised Battery Charging' and it suddenly started fast charging again.
If your phone can't charge with a cable, it's either because of the cable or there is lint or other detritus in your charging jack.
Regardless, make an appointment to have your phone examined:

The fact that your vibrations feel "super weird" is also an indication of a possible hardware issue with your device; though note that vibration patterns can now be customized:

My phone stopped charging after updating to 7.4.1 and I did Reset All Settings and it started charging.
could be
dirt or lint in the ios devices port when that happen to me I clear it out with a match or toothpick
a defect cable, testing with another cable could show if it is so
a defect port in the ios device
Your best bet is to make an appointment with your local Apple Store to have your phone examined:

I just updated to IOS 17.03 with iPhone 11 and it stopped charging via cable. I cleaned the charging port. I tested with multiple cables. No joy.
Note: Although it wasn’t charging when I plugged it in last night, but didn’t seem to be losing charge. I was down to 5%, and it stayed there at 5% on the cord, but refused to charge up and did not show a charging icon. I finally turned off all ”battery charging optimization” and it shows the charge icon with the cord, but it is just holding steady again, not charging up.
I finally put it on a wireless charger all night (optimizer on) and only had 25% battery this morning. I think the optimizer has become too aggressive in suppressing charging activity. History shows it only had two brief charging episodes.
Switched to a different wireless charger this morning and am finally at 96% but it won’t go to 100. Always did before this “upgrade.”
I’ve had a similar issue. Since updating to 17, my phone won’t charge unless I restart it first. Classic ‘have you turned it off and turned it on again’ scenario, but very frustrating to have to do it every time I need to charge it!
My iPhone SE 2020 also stopped charging after 17.1.1. I found that battery optimization had to be turned off, and saw that at the top of settings my name was greyed out. It seems the update set up screen/content restrictions that I had to turn off. It asked for a password. Since I'd never set this up I didn't know it. But, there is a "forgot password" option which I used to disable screen restrictions. It is incredible the amount of harm this update does. I'd give you all step-by-step instruction on disabling content restrictions but my phone is down to 3%. Good luck!
Dear Apple divice users, a divices has a life liitmit baterry usually 3 to 5 years but all that depends on the constant use of the device, plus the downloaded apps that can drain the battery faster and/or harm your battery life limit.. thats why i theres a sectin on apple divices that warns you about the the capacity of the battery, notify if there’s a problem with it and even tels you when exactly you need to replace the battery and witch install app is or cn be harmful for the battery health… another thing is that if the uodate requires ti use more energy than the actual ios it wnt gobtbtheb8% nor the 90%….. so in the case of those ith iphone 11 or later that baterry has already lived a 65% and needs to be replaced.
Have the same issue. At this moment I can use only Wireless Charger for my iPhone11. Wireless Charger works without issues.
