Apple Watch control centre

I can not get to my control centre by swiping up on the watch face. Have tried resetting, turning off and off and re pairing to my phone and still not working

In watchOS 10, the Control Center is now accessed by pressing the Side Button one time.

Pressing the Side Button twice invokes the Apple Wallet with your bank cards.
