Screen aspect ratio is erratic, StandBy mode not turning on. Accelerometer/Motion sensor issues?

My screen aspect ratio settings are usually unlocked. I noticed that YouTube videos would not rotate. And that my Safari iOS browser would only stay rotated. And after working for about ten days, StandBy mode no longer works, even when turned on after settings. Tried a couple reboots and turning off then on both StandBy and Aspect Ratio Lock. Tried with both a wired charger and MagSafe. Wondering if I have Accelerometer/Motion sensor issues? iPhone 13 mini.

I contacted Apple Support, great help. They recommended a forced update using my MacBook Pro. Once I plugged the iPhone into the laptop and opened it in the browser, StandBy started working, no need to force update.

Just to confirm, it seems like your screen isn't rotating as expected, is that right? If so, let's make sure the screen orientation isn't locked. This link explains how to do that and may help: Change or lock the screen orientation on iPhone

Lock or unlock the screen orientation

You can lock the screen orientation so that it doesn’t change when you rotate iPhone.

Open Control Center, then tap .

When the screen orientation is locked, appears in the status bar (on supported models).
