Abbott freestyle libre 2 has disabled my NFC

Now I have no NFC on my SE (2nd gen.) thanks to a corrupting freestyle libre 2 app. I seem to have no redress? Abbott will deny it, or do nothing, Apple have said that there is no hardware problem. I guess that there is no point trying to go with a different diabetes monitoring system if I can't use NFC. Abbott are sending me new sensors and a reader. Do I now have to leave home with a reader as well? It was so convenient to just have my phone. Is this what we call progress?

If I had lots of money I would buy a new phone and never go near Abbott ever again!!

iPhone SE, 17
