Why would Apple Pay persistently not work in an Apple store as a known issue , and no one seemed bothered about it? And the same physical card works??
I walked into an Apple store - the Visitor's center near Apple Park - and I buy something, and the Apple Pay doesn't read on the store machine. The card had sufficient funds, and luckily I had the physical card and it worked. But I ask the attendant why Apple Pay may not have worked, and she says - quite unbothered by it - its a common issue - you're not the only one.
My question/complaint is - Why? Why wouldn't Apple Pay work in an Apple Store - as an ongoing issue, and no one seems bothered to be fixing it or communicating it better to customers at the store ??
What if some customers don't carry their physical card, trusting Apple Pay will work? Its a reasonable expectation to expect Apple Pay to work at an Apple Store - because its an Apple Store. And as a customer for whom Apple Pay never fails in external stores, why would a customer expect it to fail in an Apple store, and that its not a one off - its a known issue. Very disappointing. The same Apple pay that works in other vendors like Target, and other endless external customers, isn't it paradoxical it fails in an Apple store and no one seems bothered to fix it in the reading POS machines etc?
