Change from fingerprint ID
My wife is trying to download an app from the App Store and it asks for her fingerprint to access. She doesn’t have finger prints. How do I get it to accept her password instead?

Hello grandpadennis,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We'd be happy to get your questions answered. Which device model, and OS version is she pairing her Apple Watch with? If she is pairing her Apple Watch with a device that supports the Touch ID feature, she can use her finger print on that device to download apps from the App Store.
Please check out these helpful resources:
Download apps on your Apple Watch
Require a password for App Store and iTunes purchases
Let us know if you have any questions. Kind regards.

Hi grandpadennis,
Touch ID can be disabled so that a passcode can be input instead. The following is from Set up Touch ID on iPhone.
"Turn off Touch ID
Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode, then turn off one or more of the options."
Take care.
She is one of those rare people who doesn’t have fingerprints so I need to figure how to make the App Store accept a password instead of fingerprints.
