Organize Hidden photos

I’ve found that when hiding photos in the hidden album they aren’t put in the order they were saved. Is there some way to rearrange them or sort them?

The hidden photos will remain organized in the albums where you added them to and you can see them organised, when you unhide them temporarily, as muggy pointed out.

Apple has changed the handling of hidden photos dramatically with iOS 16 and later.

In the early versions of iOS the "hiding" has been a means to suppress photos temporarily from the "Library" albums to make it easier to manage "All Photos" or "Days/Moments" etc., when we wanted to add photos to albums. The hidden photos remained visible in the albums. But quite a few users wanted a different method of hiding - they wanted a tool to keep very personal or confidential photos secret. Apple listened and turned the hiding into a tool to keep the hidden photos secret some system versions ago. But we lost the ability to see the hidden photos in the albums. And with iOS 15 the hidden album can even be password protected. This is great for people who have to protect confidential photos, but bad for those, who need to remove photos from "All Photos" or "Recents" without deleting them.

You may want to send a feature request to Apple to allow us to organize the hidden photos album on iOS devices - you can use the feedback forms: Feedback - Photos - Apple

On a Mac you can still use Hiding to organise photos, because we can create smart albums. Hidden photos can be made visible in smart albums, if we add a rule "Photo is hidden" to the smart album, and this way we can manage them in smart albums.
