Whatsapp microphone not working

I discovered I had restrictions set, unknowingly. Go to settings, type “restrictions” in search, “content and restrictions” will come up, turn off/on the toggle, this will reset the restrictions. If you need to do additonal check, go to “microphone” select “allow changes”. When you go back to WhatsApp try using microphone and it should ask if you want to allow access, press “allow”.

I had the same problem but I figured it out. I was on a call and I pressed my AirPod once and it unmuted whatsapp so try this

reinstalling the app does that help

Faced the same problem, was on call and Airpod fell down since then the microphone stopped. Tried reinstalling. I restarted my phone and it works like normal. Still don’t know how it glitched.

Even am facing the same issue from this morning.

Me too reinstalling didn’t work for me

Same here. I updated to iOS 17.1.1 on Friday and this issue just started today.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling WhatsApp but the issue persists.
