Credit shows in App Store

When I go to the App Store App and touch my face at the top right; it has my name and email, then Game Center and then below that it says “Credit $25.00”. I don’t know how to use this. I’ve checked other iPhones and no one else has it.

I went to my Apple ID and removed my form of payment thinking the credit would be deducted automatically for a purchase, but the iTunes Store needed a payment method. I put one in and it charged that account and not the credit.

Can anyone help me? Thank you!

it says “Credit $25.00”.

That is your Apple Account balance, see -> Check your Apple Account balance

Check your Apple Account balance – Apple Support (UK)

When redeeming a gift card, the amount will be credited to your Apple Account balance and set your Apple ID balance as your default payment.

If you already use your Apple Account balance, the Apple Gift Card or App Store & iTunes gift card is automatically added to your Apple Account balance.

If you have enough money in your Apple Account balance, all you have to do is -> you need to set your Apple Account balance as your default payment.

  • You can't use your Apple Account balance to send gifts or gift cards.
  • If you use Family Sharing, your family members can't spend your Apple Account balance. Funds that you add to your Apple Account balance are only available to you. Find out more about how purchases are billed to your Apple Account balance.
  • Some purchases might require you to have a credit card on file, even if you use your Apple Account balance to make the purchase.
