Since updating my Apple TV to the latest OS, the volume buttons on my Apple Remote haven't been working

Since updating my Apple TV to the latest OS, the volume buttons on my Apple Remote haven't been working. I've tried all recommended fixes so far on here. Anyone have success with any other methods?

Hello devon13wa,

Sometimes the buttons stop working if the Siri Remote isn't charged. Have you tried to charge it up and test it out? Here's how you could do that: Charge the Siri Remote

If that doesn't solve the issue, try out these related steps for a solution:

  1. Update it for the latest fixes: Update your Apple TV
  2. Ensure that any connected speakers and the TV is up to date, as well.
  3. If your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote isn't working
  4. Confirm HDMI CEC ins enabled on the TV, Soundbar, and/or receiver and/or for learning and avoiding line of sight issues when using IR control: Control your TV and volume with the Siri Remote
  5. Test other HDMI cables.
  6. Bypass any other connected devices and see if th issue persists while directly connected to the TV.
  7. Test with a different TV altogether.
  8. Test the Apple TV: Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings and test the issue again.

Should the issue continue to occur, then it would be best to contact Apple Support directly: Get Support They'll need to take it from here.

Take care.
