iPhone 15 pro loose contact while using original usb c cable

Hi together,

I have a problem and I‘m hoping that someone is facing the same issue and eventually knows a solution approach.

So, I have just unboxed my iPhone 15 Pro today and it initially had 60% battery. After setting it up, I wanted to charge it to 100%. Unfortunately, I noticed (when using the original adapter + usb c cable from apple) that there is a loose contact. Therefore, my iPhone vibrates often, telling me that it is now charging. Somehow, though, a "real" loose connection seems very unlikely to me, since it's brand new.

Could it be a software problem? I've heard that charging causes problems on many iPhone 15P/PM in general right now.

Thank you in advance for any help!!!

Is it physically loose? Could be a defect. Do you have access to another USB-C cable to see if it also is loose? Ultimately you may need to contact Apple (or where ever you ordered from) to see if you need an exchange…would definitely do that asap especially since you are in the return/exchange period just in case there is a defect on that particular device. Not sure if it’s a software. I personally haven’t had any if the charging issues or anything people have posted about so I can’t speak on that.
