until recent Apple TV software update I could put all devices including TV into sleep mode using one button on Apple Remote. Now I need to use TV remote to power down, definitely not an improved feature. Anyway to reengage?

the other day I suggested to someone with the same issue to
turn off hdmi-cec on the tv
pull the plug on the tv for 30sec
turn hdmi-cec back on
seems the pulling the plug was the key to resolve the issue for the person
