Since my logicboard AND screen fried at the same time for no reason at all I am now stuck without a built- display yet MacOS always recognizes it and thus applications are hidden within in it.
Question: Is there any way to disable the built-in display?
Some things that kind of work:
- You can close settings with the dock then repoen it with the monitor you wish it to appear in
- Settings > Displays: Make an external monitor the "Main display" to swap the built-in's apps to it
- Option 2: "Mirror" the built-in and "Optimize for [display name]" to get the proper resolution
I still have a phantom built-in display where apps get lost and would love to permanently remove it.
