Hi,
It may be of interest to note that the HP DeskJet 2700 All-In-One Printer is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting Apple's AirPrint technology. Printing should not require an extra driver, nor other software, provided that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).
The requirements for the HP DeskJet 2700 All-In-One Printer and AirPrint can be found in the user's guide:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06611085.pdf page 47 ("macOS or OS X 10.7 and later").
This means that the printer should be able to work with macOS 10.13 High Sierra and AirPrint after a manual setup.
Perhaps with limitations regarding ink subscription and similar services. If absolutely necessary, it may or may not be possible to handle some such operations via an iOS/iPadOS version of HP Smart (not HP Smart for Desktop, which today seems to need macOS 10.15 Catalina).
