Linked contact

I linked friend to my contact link through my contacts address book on my I-Phon 11 17.0.3.

I-Phone devices are new to me and I am curious if I linked this individual to my contact info do they have any ability to ….say..somehow penetrate my system? Am I making sense? Are they able to see other contacts or have any ability changing information stored in my phone?
