is there a usb sender yo use the old silver remote

i have an m2 mac mini but the silver colloured remote I used with my 2919 mac mini will not work with the m2

The Mac mini M2 has no IR receiver built in.

If you search Amazon for USB-C IR receivers you will find many available.
