Using Significant Energy on a Safari again! It's Slow!


Hey There,


I went on YouTube it says "This webpage is using significant energy. Closing it may improve the responsiveness on your Mac." So I'm going to close it! because of the Significant energy on a Safari!

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

If you receive this alert on specific webpages you may need to review your settings for those sites/services or check to see if you may have installed plugins or extensions that could be consuming additional power over what the site normally requires.


Use Safari extensions on your Mac includes information on using extensions, how to install, disable or remove them and more. If there are items in that list you don't recognize it's a best practice to disable them first and ensure no adverse effects are noted before fully removing them after a time.
