Lockscreen Wallpaper Blurred

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 17.0.3. When I customize my wallpaper for the lockscreen, it blurs the top of my picture when I zoom out to make it fix. Is this permanent or is there a work around? I can't enjoy my wallpaper because it's blurred out so bad.
