Syncing from Google Calendar to iPhone's Calendar App is VERY SLOW
Like some other people on here, I have given up hope of NEW events or changes created on the Calendar app on my iPhone being pushed to Google Calendar. The only option was to make my Gmail calendars the default on my iPhone, and simply not bothering at all with my Apple Calendars.
*Frustrating that it wouldn't work as "advertised" :-)
So, the only issue is that any new events created or changed on the web version of Google Calendar take a VERY long time to appear on my iPhone. The amount of time varies. However, when these new or changed events are created on the iPhone (again, I'm only selecting one of the 4 Gmail calendars) they appear within 2-5 seconds on the web version of Google Calendar.
ANY new events or changes appear within seconds on the Google Calendar app on my iPhone regardless of whether they are created on my iCal app (with one of the Gmail calendars selected) or the web version of Google Calendar.
To repeat, ANY and ALL new Google Calendar events take a very long time to be "received" by my Apple Calendar app.
*Here's the weird part........................
Having said all of that, if I have a day on the calendar where I am still waiting for the above-mentioned additions/changes to be received, I can create a new event for that same day (on my Apple Calendar app) and select "ADD", and INSTANTLY the previous addition/change is recieved! It's as if I create a temporary stargate for this instant transmission by adding a new event. Then the stargate closes.
I'm sure that NONE of that makes sense. lol But, if it does, then you'll agree that it's bizarre!
1) Is there a solution to my delay issue? Or do I just need to accept it?
2) Is there an explanation to the weird "stargate" phenomenon?
