Since updating my iPhone to iOS 16.7.1, my CIBC banking app no longer allows me to use my passcode to auto fill my banking password. I don't want to use Face ID as I want to be as private as I can. I'm just trying to figure out why the keychain no longer works for my banking app. The keychain works for all the other apps I have, just not my banking one, and it's frustrating having to input my password over and over.

Check to make sure it is still the correct app. I’ve been having trouble with my bank app since the update. I finally noticed the password access in my stored passwords had a different bank logo. Sure enuf….it no longer has my banks app but one from another part of the county! What the heck??!!
I’ve been experiencing this issue too. I just toggled the iCloud Password and Keychain on and off, then closed the apps and reopened and it appeared to have my login information auto populate.

I suggest that you contact your bank app developer/support team and ask them.
If the keychain works fo other apps, the problem is not related to your iPhone.

My password key chain changed bank apps during the last update. The password & user ID is correct but the bank it’s trying to log into is not. I didn’t change anything and have never even heard of the bank it has switched. Located 1,000 miles from here.
I just got off with my bank, and to be honest, they're idiots on their live chat, not being able answer my question, and pointing me here there and everywhere.
Same for me on the Simplii app. So frustrating!
