Black Colouring Turns Grey on iPhone 13 Pro Max.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max is 1 year+ old however i’m unsure whether this is an issue with my phone or ongoing issue with an iOS. I was wondering if anyone else gets this issue.

I use apps like Snapchat and Facebook and usually the background is of a black dark colour, but yet every now and again for some reason the black colouring in my phone turns to a greyish and lighter colour.

My current IOS version is 16.5 and I feel fear about updating the IOS version because here lot's iPhone user lost their display after update, its normal here!

Any tips?

Also other coloring on the phone seems fine, but it’s just the black coloring on the phone.

Hey ranjands,

You mentioned that this behavior is only occurring in third party apps. If you haven't already, check the in-app settings of those apps to see if you have anything configured that would cause this behavior.

You can also check your Display & Brightness settings. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness. Do you have Night Shift enabled? If you do, does the background appear lighter when Night Shift is enabled? If so, try adjusting the Color Temperature slider to see if you notice a difference: Adjust the brightness and color temperature on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
