When Mac is used if apple mail application is configured with iCloud , the mails stay on server for IMAP accounts , use rebuild feature all missing mails will sync Rebuild mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

If you're using iCloud mail, you may want to check your Archive mailbox or Trash to see if the emails are available there. You can learn more about the Archive mailbox here: Archive email in Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Deleted emails are moved to the Trash mailbox. When you delete an email, it is saved in your Trash for 30 days, after which it is permanently erased.

Will old months mails still be in trash , impossible .
