Payment on Apple USA portal using Indian Credit Card

I'm in India, and my family friend is currently in the USA as a tourist. I placed an order for the iPhone 15 Pro 256 GB on the Apple USA website on October 11, 2023, with the delivery address set to his location. I opted to "Pay in Full" and provided my Indian Credit Card details.

However, the transaction didn’t happen then but it showed that the Order has been placed and the delivery will happen between Nov 2 - Nov 9. When I contacted Apple Support USA, they informed me that the order is currently in the "Processing" stage, and the transaction will only happen when it shifts to "Preparing to Ship." I've also come across community threads stating that "Payment will be taken from your chosen method only when the item ships."

My question pertains to the use of an Indian Credit Card with 2-factor authentication, which involves receiving an OTP via SMS. How will the transaction be processed in this scenario, and when will I need to provide the OTP or will it not be needed?
