Cannot download macOS Sonoma

I have a Macbook Air 2018, which is compatible with Sonoma and currently running Ventura 13.5.2:

But when I try to download Sonoma through System Settings or the App Store, it does a small portion of the download and then gives me one of these error messages:

I am connected to the Internet, I have a compatible device and have enough free space on the hard drive. I have rebooted and tried multiple times, all with the same result.

Any ideas for how to successfully download Sonoma? Thanks in advance.

1 - Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

2 - Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading. It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance

3 - Run the Software Update Applet while still in Safe Mode
