How do I backup OneDrive's synced files to iCloud?

After the OneDrive preference "Download all OneDrive files now" is selected, all the files are both local and at MS. As they are local, they should be able to be uploaded to iCloud and they assumably are on the TimeMachine backup.

Question 1: Where EXACTLY are they locally (search does not find them) so I may find them on TimeMachine if ever needed.

Question 2: Can they be included in iCloud's backup and if so, how?

Ventura 13.5.2 about to be Sonoma.

OneDrive and iCloud are both used for cloud storage. You may not be able to directly add OneDrive files to iCloud, but you can save files in iCloud on your Mac with the guidance here: Store files in iCloud Drive on Mac - Apple Support
