Glass screen protectors for iPhone Pro Max 15 - issues?

Has anyone had issues with glass screen protectors for the iPhone Pro Max 15? I am considering buying the new phone (currently have a 6s Plus) and am not sure one is even necessary given Apple's claims about the strength of the new glass, but I carry my phone in my cargo pants pocket, without other items, and I don't want scratches on the screen from dust, dirt, etc. I looked on the Otterbox website at their glass screen protectors, and they have lots of terrible reviews, stating that the 15 Pro Max has a slightly curved screen at the edges, and this prevents the protector from adhering properly at the edges, letting in dust. Is this true? Is it true of other brands of glass screen protectors? What do you recommend? Do I even need one with the new glass?
