update or upgrade
Can you upgrade OS instead of OS update? I have Ventura 13.0, do I update to 13.6 first before upgrading to 14.0? Or I can go directly to upgrade to 14.0?

You shouldn't have to run any incremental updates before upgrading to Sonora. Just make sure you have a full and complete Time Machine backup before the upgrade just to be on the safe side.
Also if you have any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac uninstall them according to the developer's instructions before upgrading. They are not needed with any system.
