I bought air pods on Amazon. How do I associate them with my Apple ID?

AirPods are not associated with an Apple ID. Only devices that you sign into using your Apple ID and password are associated with your Apple ID.
Once you pair your AirPods to an Apple device, they will be associated with you in the sense they’re visible in Find My.
