cant remove a wrong contact numbwr

Years ago while traveling abroad we put in a friends foreign number. This number is removed from her contact information yet when I send a text this foreign number auto populates. If I send the text it DOES go to her USA number. See picture to show what shows up when I click the “info” button.

Is it possible that you have a conversation list in the Messages app that was used with the old number? If so, try removing that conversation so you only have the messages using the new number.
