iPhone is now connected to another iPhone.

so my work phone keeps showing up like that on my personal phone. I keep them together in my pocket. How do i disable feature?

Settings > General > AirDrop > Turn off "Bringing Devices Together"

Do note that just seeing them connected, does not mean anyone can access data without your permission. This just permits the easy transfer of things between two different iPhones, which each user must approve.

Had this happen yesterday with my mom’s phone and it transferred all her photos to my phone without me permitting the transfer. Is there an easy way to see all these photos in one album so I can delete or do I have to go photo by photo?

This is a new feature. It’s NOT you connecting to their hotspot. You would see the infinity icon (linked) if they connect to your hotspot or vice versa.

So we can't use the feature because it's so intrusive? That's really weird, should be a notification setting to at least skip that.

Wife and I have same problem. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with settings.

You need to go into your settings and change all of your sharing settings, including the hand off settings. I found detailed instructions online.

Yuup! iOS Bloatware doing what it does best. I wish someone made a list of all the useless changes no one ever asked for or needed 🤣

Imagine if Apple gave users to option for security only updates minus the bloat! Wow!

Another thing that causes a similar problem. There were software or system changes that caused iPhones that are on the same account to share photos, recent calls lists, text messages, and contacts. One of the phones has to change apple id info. I found the detailed instructions online (Google). Tech reps I talked to assumed the problem was with sharing settings, they were wrong and didn't know the answer. Just Google it and get instructions as to how and what information to change.

I want to know why Apple connected me to another person you connected my personal information to a friend that did my house for show time he was in my boyfriend he wasn’t anyone me you allowed my money to get stolen again T-Mobile steal my information again because he had T-Mobile and I had Xfinity I can’t believe I’ve done

Nothing to do with personal hotspots... neither my wife nor I have that on and it's happening constantly.

It sounds like she connected to your hotspot. She will not have access to your data. This should help:

A Personal Hotspot lets you share the cellular data connection of your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) when you don't have access to a Wi-Fi network.

Set up Personal Hotspot

1. Go to Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot or Settings > Personal Hotspot.
2. Tap the slider next to Allow Others to Join.

If you don't see the option for Personal Hotspot, contact your carrier to make sure that you can use Personal Hotspot with your plan."
