iOS 17: Is Face ID now the ONLY way to unlock Passwords in Settings?

My wife and I updated our iPhones to iOS 17 and now find that the only way to unlock Settings>Passwords is through Face ID. There is no option offered to use a typed passcode instead (it's either "Try Face ID Again" or "Cancel"). I imagine that this was designed to be an effective security measure. But what are we supposed to do if Face ID fails to work for some legitimate reason (e.g. front camera is broken, software glitch, etc.)?

Wow, that was a quick reply! Thank you, that works, much to my relief.

I can't imagine that I'm the only person who was puzzled by the apparent omission of the passcode option, and I couldn't find this detail about the new way of doing the unlocking described or documented anywhere.
