"lib" and "include" files appeared in Applications Folder (M1 Max 2022, Ventura 13.5.2)

Actually, yes I do that’s my studio recording Mac 😁 I’ve somehow went through the receipts to see which install placed those two there but it was so insignificant that I forgot, so what I’m meaning to tell you is : delete away, my friend - no worries !

They appeared some time around updating the VSEE (Zoom like) app. I'm not sure if they are related to the update.

Is it possible that they were just placed in the wrong folder? Should I just leave them alone?

I hardly doubt they are an issue where they are. If you move them and it breaks your app, then you will know.

I just deleted them.

The copyright is old. Also, according to Time Machine backups it appeared about Oct 30, 2023, and it says it was modified Oct 10, 2023.

Could be anything. There are literally millions of incompetent programmers out there.

Not necessarily. The whole point of this kind of open source software is to share code. It could have been anyone who used that code incorrectly. As I said, most developers are simply incompetent.

I also have these files and am confused as to how they came to be on my MacBook. I also work with 3rd party music software/plug-ins and think it must be related. Did anything stop working when you deleted them?

Yes Sir. Quite a lot. also other software related to audio. As far as I can remember those two were installed along something not very significant and nothing happened when disposed of. I will generate a system report to see all the apps I’ve installed lately and when I see it I’ll know it. But be sure that it was surprisingly u significant.

I have these files too, and I've never had Zoom. They were added Oct 10, 2023. I'd also like to know what they are, before I delete them. Im also not running Ventura. Running Monterey.

I got the same folders when installing Arturia Augmented Strings.
