MacBook Pro mid 2012 freezing/crashing randomly
My MacBook Pro, mid 2012 non-retina version, has started with this problem a few days ago, it sometimes won’t boot up, giving the message your computer shut down because of a problem, I may make several attempts then just shut the lid, and when I come back later and lift the lid it might be up and running again! Even then it might get to anything from a few seconds to even an hour of use, then I might notice when I click a link it doesn’t respond, then it might allow me to exit another program but before a few more seconds elapse it will either cut out and try to restart with a white screen, or I get the spinning wheel and the machine is totally unresponsive - I’ve tried changing the hard drive and it made no difference, then I heard it could be the hdd cable, so I ordered one, but since then I have disconnected the cable from the motherboard and used a known good external usb drive, and the same problem is happening- can anyone advise, is my motherboard knackered or is there something I can try? Sorry for the long story! Thanks
