Turn off periodic infrared scans

We want to stop our iPhone 14 Pro Max phones from doing arbitrary infrared scans during use. These are highly visible on our child monitor and there is no reason our phone needs to continuously scan our faces that benefits us whatsoever. We want the ability to turn this off. How can we do that?

Privacy concern infrared signal I was positioning security cameras in my house last night and the night vision on those cameras was activated. When I was looking at my phone screen to check the camera position, I noticed that there was a constant but intermittent signal or “flash“ being emitted from what appeared to be the facial recognition scanner on the left side of the exposed phone speaker at the top the center of my phone. iPhone 16 Front Infrared Light flashing at night 30 min intervals I have security cameras in my house and last night I accidentally left my iPhone 16 Pro in the living room, where there is a camera. I had lots of movement activations in the morning and on reviewing them it was the infrared light on my iPhone flashing for 2 minutes every 30 minutes without fail. It only stopped at sunrise. id like to know why this is happening, what the phone is doing and how to switch it off please. infrared light can be seen for miles outside in the darkness so I would say that this is also a security concern for those that do certain jobs. an explanation and a way to disable it would be appreciated. It flashes all the time even if you turn off Face ID. Anybody knows any official details from apple about it? We watch the screen hours a day, every day. Is it safe? why it flashes all the time even if Face ID is completed turn off? According to the above study there is effect from infrared light to the eyes. Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏
