My brand new iphone has the side paint scratched

I just purchased my new iphone 15 pro max (blue) and the paint on the sides is starting to scratch even though it hasnt been in contact with anything, this has never happened to me with any other iphone. Is this expected with this new material or is it just a fabrication defect? Thank you

Getting Scratches in my new iphone Hey, i purchase a new iPhone last year in June and i got scratches in my iPhone all around the corner and it is not even dropped once and corners did not come in contact with anything. It happening spontaneously. And i am not convinced with the answer given by customer care executive that its a cosmetic issue and it cannot be rectified. Apple products are purchased due to their quality products and services but this is something that i am not satisfied with. Can anybody tell me how to get this issue rectified?

Scratches don't appear from nowhere. Something had to have come in contact with the surface.
